Grey. The word India’s kajal industry avoids.

Pick up any black kajal in India and read the back. Waterproof. Smudge proof. 24-hour intense black. Now look in the mirror at 3pm.

What you find has a name, depending on who you ask. Raccoon eyes. Panda eyes. The grey ring. Whatever you call it, it’s the same thing: you applied jet black in the morning and something flat and ashy took its place by afternoon.

Not because you have oily skin. Not because of the humidity. Not because you touched it. Because of the formula.

Every long lasting kajal claim in this market is about time. None of them are about colour. This matte kajal is built the other way round — a black kajal engineered to hold its shade, not just its position.

Three complaints. Three formula decisions.

Every woman who wears kajal daily has the same three complaints. None of them are your technique — all three are choices made in a formula room.

01 — It turns grey

The best kajal for oily eyelids has silica in it

Sebum breaks the pigment layer apart.Silicaabsorbs that lid oil; a flexible film holds the layer continuous. That’s what makes it a genuinely smudge proof kajal rather than a stickier one.

02 — It moves

A transfer proof kajal needs film strength

Raccoon eyes aren’t a transfer problem, they’re a film-strength one.Carnauba— the hardest cosmetic wax — doesn’t soften in Indian heat, so the colour has nowhere to go.

03 — It scratches

A kajal for sensitive eyes shouldn’t drag

A hard tip pokes on the waterline. Almond and castor oil keep the base soft where it meets your eye. One smooth stroke, no wince.

What’s inside this matte kajal

A fully vegan kajal — structured on plant waxes, with no beeswax, lanolin or carmine anywhere in the formula.
Silica — absorbs lid oil, so the pigment layer stays intact
Film-former — holds the black continuous and locked in place
Carnauba wax — the hardest cosmetic wax, holds in Indian heat
Candelilla wax — plant-derived structure, keeps it vegan
Castor seed oil — full black in one stroke, soft at the tip
Almond oil — conditions the lash line and waterline
Vitamin E — antioxidant for the formula and the skin
Mineral black — cosmetic-grade iron oxide and carbon black

FAQ

Octyldodecanol, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Almond) Oil, Synthetic Wax, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Mica, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Candelilla Wax, Silica, Polybutene, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carnauba Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopherol Acetate, CI 77499, CI 77266.

The pigment doesn’t change colour — the film breaks up. Sebum thins a continuous black layer into a scattered one, and the skin showing through reads grey. This kajal uses silica to absorb that lid oil and a flexible film-former to hold the layer together, so the black stays black.

Yes — it’s a waterproof, smudge proof and transfer proof kohl kajal. The formula is completely waterless and built on a silicone film-former, so it resists water, sweat and humidity, and won’t transfer onto your lid or under your eye. Remove it with an oil-based cleanser, balm or micellar water at the end of the day.

Look for silica in the ingredient list. Oily lids break down soft-wax kajals, which is why most smudge by afternoon. Silica absorbs that oil before it can move the pigment — it’s the single most useful ingredient for oily lids, and it’s in this formula.

Yes as It’s made without water, added fragrance or talc — common irritants in eye products — and without parabens or mineral oil. If you have a specific eye condition, wear contact lenses, or have reacted to eye makeup before, check with your doctor first.

Yes. The waterless formula was built for waterline wear, and almond and castor oils keep the tip soft so it glides instead of dragging. If a kajal scratches on your waterline, the base is too hard.

Use an oil-based cleanser, cleansing balm or micellar water. Press a soaked cotton pad over the closed eye for a few seconds, then wipe gently — no rubbing needed. Plain face wash and water won’t lift a waterproof formula.

Warm the tip Two seconds against the back of your hand. Kohl lays down more evenly at skin temperature — the step almost everyone skips.

Look up, not down Pull the lower lid gently downward with your ring finger so the waterline is exposed and flat.

Yes, within 7 days if the seal is intact. Once opened we can’t accept returns on eye products — but if something’s wrong with it, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll sort it out.
